More than 100 St. Vincent Charity Medical Center caregivers and their families participated in the medical center’s Celebration of Lights on Dec. 6 at the hospital in downtown Cleveland. The Christmas holiday event was reinstituted for the first time since 2010.
After enjoying hot cocoa and cookies, the group moved outside to the front of the hospital where they were welcomed by Janice Murphy, SVCMC president and CEO.
The event included a performance from the St. Philip Church choir and prayer led by Sister Judith Ann Karma, CSA congregational leader. SVCMC is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity Health System.
The SVCMC campus is lit with 6,000 lights and features a 90-foot tree of blue and white lights cascading from the hospital roof.
