Mercy Wound & Hyperbaric Center earns RestorixHealth’s Center of Excellence Award

Mercy Medical Center's Mercy Wound & Hyperbaric Center is a recipient of RestorixHealth’s Center of Excellence Award. Recipients of this award meet or exceed national wound care quality benchmarks over a three-month period.

“This achievement reaffirms the quality of care that Mercy Wound & Hyperbaric Center provides its patients every day,” said Paul Hiltz, FACHE, president & CEO of Mercy Medical Center. “Our staff has a proven track record of healing wounds, and we are proud to be a recipient of an award that recognizes their hard work and dedication.”

RestorixHealth’s highest achievement, the Center of Excellence Award, distinguishes centers that have demonstrated exceptional success by meeting or exceeding clinical, operational and financial benchmarks in different categories, including healing outcomes and patient safety, along with a patient satisfaction rate of 96% or higher.

Mercy Wound & Hyperbaric Center is dedicated to optimizing outcomes and preventing lower limb loss in those patients with non-healing wounds. The approach to wound care is both aggressive and comprehensive, coordinating traditional and advanced therapies that are proven to reduce healing time and improve healing rates.

The center is staffed with a multi-disciplinary team of physicians along with nurses and technicians with advanced training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Integrating a team of wound care professionals optimizes patient care, while offering the most advanced healing options.

“Our physicians and nurses strive to fulfill the mission at Mercy Medical Center,” said Jamie Carbone, BSN, RN, clinical director of Mercy Wound & Hyperbaric Center. “Achieving RestorixHealth’s Center of Excellence Award recognizes the staff for doing exactly that through providing quality and compassionate patient care. I am so proud of the staff’s commitment and drive to continue to improve quality care and patient outcomes for our community,” Carbone said.
