The Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood, which is a program of the Sisters of Charity Health System, has hired Catondra Noye as its new program director. The Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood works with multiple partners in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood to break the cycle of poverty and address social drivers of health by advancing family health, education, social capital, stability and economics.
Marisa Rohn, Chief Program Officer for Sisters of Charity Health System, said, “We are thrilled to have Catondra join our current Central Promise Neighborhood team as program director. Her past experiences in community building and planning, as well as her vast leadership experience, will be a tremendous benefit as we look to serve the Central Neighborhood in new and exciting ways.”
In this role as program director, Noye’s duties will include transitioning the work of the Promise Neighborhood to focus on wrapping around PreK-8th grade students at Marion-Sterling, a Cleveland Public School located at 3033 Central Avenue, and their families to address social drivers of health. She will also work to support the resident-led Promise Ambassador program, collaborate with partners to bring resources to the Central community, and continue supporting programs offered through Building Healthy Communities.
Noye brings 25 years of experience as a community-focused leader with organizations around the country. Most recently, she held the position of assistant executive director at Fairfax Renaissance Development Corporation in Cleveland. There, she was responsible for planning and implementing policies, implementing community-enhancing programming, securing grant funding, developing budgets and more. Previously, she was manager of strategic planning and development for the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority in San Antonio, Texas, and mass transit administration planning manager for the District Department of Transportation, Washington D.C.
“I am very excited to join the Sisters of Charity Health System as the Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood program director,” Catondra said. “The work of the Cleveland Central Promise team has been impactful for residents and the general community. My goals include developing new and enhancing existing partnerships, collaborating with Marion-Sterling and others to support student success and continuing to engage the community.”
